Ever since becoming a mom, you instantly want to find a community of mama’s going through the same season of life as you are. And for me, that was The New Mom School! I’ve found so many connections through this mom tribe and that’s how I met Melany. She wanted to celebrate this pregnancy with a photo session on the beach - and I always love Laguna Beach! It was a beautiful day chasing their daughter through the sand and running towards the waves. I can’t wait to meet your son in the next coming months!
Why You Should Do A Maternity Session
So first things first, obviously I am a photographer - but as a mama myself, I always recommend doing a maternity session to friends, clients or expectant mamas I meet in line at Target. I know there are so many hesitations or excuses we give ourselves, but I’m sharing 3 reasons to do a maternity session.
Reagan turns ONE!
When planning Reagan’s birthday party I wanted it to be something that celebrate her and her life. From an early age she has loved books and one of our favorite books to read together is “The Wonderful Things You Will Be.”
Life with our 6 Month Old
It can be summed up as so much joy! This girl lights up our world and couldn’t imagine life any other way now. We finally have consistent routines with mornings, naps and bedtimes and it’s some of my favorite moments. The simple things each day bring so much happiness with our baby girl!
Life with our 5 Month Old
It can be summed up as being present. We want to soak up each moment with you and not miss a moment. Time is flying by way too fast. I’m working on putting down the phone (except during work hours - while she naps.) I noticed while eating breakfast scrolling through instagram that she was looking at me and smiling while she played. Mom guilt sank in and I don’t want her to always remember me looking down at my phone.

“When a baby is born, a mother is also.” As a photographer, I know how important it is to document your little one when they are a couple weeks old. I have heard far too often how parents regret getting those newborn photos.
