Baby Riley’s family traveled a distance to our studio for their newborn session. It was such a privilege to capture images of their precious little miracle.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
We understand how important it is for mom to feel pampered and confident in front of the camera. With our full-service experience, we aim to make the session as stress-free as possible. While mom relaxed with our professional hair and makeup stylist, I started with solo portraits of Riley.
Baby girl was 8-weeks-old and already so alert and showing off her smiles. At this age, their little personalities start to shine through and I captured so many adorable images!

Mom looked gorgeous in a sheer, off the shoulder cream gown picked from our Client Closet, along with baby’s comfy swaddles and headbands. All of the families choose to capture baby's first year (maternity/newborn, 6 months and 1 year) with some adding 4 and 9-month sessions as well.
Baby Welles was only a few weeks old and just the sweetest boy. I was able to shoot so many precious images that showcased his delicate features and tiny details, capturing moments in time for mom and dad to revisit throughout the years.
It was especially important to mom to join the first portraits with her son. Family is always included in our sessions, siblings as well!

While I took solo portraits with baby boy, mom was able to enjoy a relaxing hair and makeup session with our professional stylist. Welles was so content and I was able to capture so many amazing images!

2023 Santa’s Magical Experience In Newport Beach Studio
This year marks the 5th anniversary of Santa’s special visit to our Newport Beach studio! What a blessing it has been to document timeless memories with many families that have been with us since the first event. Becoming a special holiday tradition, it is so heartwarming to watch the children grow over the years. It was wonderful photographing cherished moments with new faces as well. This year we pulled out all the stops to create an amazing event that captured the joy of the season.
One of our most anticipated events of the year, the studio is transformed into a winter wonderland, with twinkling lights, festive decor and a cozy spot where Santa takes center stage.
Our young visitors ranged in age from 6 months to 11 years old. Santa interacted with the kids on a personal level and knew them each by name. He patiently listened to what the little ones hoped for while they shared their wish list. Santa read from his favorite book and checked to make sure that they were on the Nice list. Before they left, he handed them a special keepsake, a silver bell engraved with the the word “Believe”. On the way out of the session, each child received a special gift bag, a balloon, and had fun taking photos with a balloon arch addition we added this year.
Some families chose our VIP experience, which included making sure Santa knew the child’s hobbies, sports, etc. The look of surprise and delight on their faces when he mentioned these special details perfectly captured the spirit of the season.
We all know how chaotic it can be waiting for photos with Santa in long lines at the mall. By the time it is your little one’s turn, patience has worn thin and you are lucky to get one good photo. Going beyond a simple snapshot, our personalized experience helps your child ease into their special visit. Some stare in wide-eyed wonder meeting Santa for the first time, while others would rather watch from a distance. Capturing this holiday magic is the reason our event sells out every year.

ONE YEAR MILESTONE SESSION

I am so lucky to have the honor of photographing Lyla, the first girl of a family of 4 brothers. It seems not so long ago, we captured this family’s maternity photos, as well as baby girl as a newborn and at 6 months.

Lyla was so sweet in her blush tulle dress and coordinating headband. Mom looked beautiful in a sheer floral sleeveless dress. Both of these were borrowed from our Client Closet.
CAKE SMASH
After getting great shots of the family with Lyla, it was time to get some fun solo photos of the birthday girl. She loved showing off her standing skills and her adorable personality simply shines in these images. Just look at that smile!
A quick wardrobe change and baby girl was ready for cake. She was curious about the little balloons and then decided to test the cake. I think she liked it!

Mom chose to do a special, more feminine session with her daughter Maia. She was extra cuddly with mama which made for some sweet moments. NEWBORN SESSION PREP
There is lot of time, preparation, organization and coordinating that goes on before the session itself.
We coordinate with our professional hair and makeup team to ensure they are ready and waiting for you on the day of your session.
We offer a variety of beautiful high-end dresses in a range of sizes and colors that are postpartum friendly, steamed and ready when you arrive.
We send a list of valuable tips to help the morning of your session run smoothly.
Forget your diaper bag, pacifier, wipes? Don't worry, we have all the necessities in studio for you and baby.
THE SESSION
The studio is clean and at a reasonably warm temperature for baby to be comfortable while being swaddled and photographed.
I have an assortment of blankets and swaddles in various shades and colors to be clamped on my beanbag, providing a seamless backdrop.
I use comfortable posing pillows that assist me in posing baby.
My cart is stocked with supplies including hand sanitizer, a white noise machine, diapers, wipes, bows, burp cloths and hand warmers (my hands are normally cold so this helps when touching baby).
ARRIVAL
Mom and baby typically arrive at the studio around 9:30am and the hair and makeup team are ready to go.
I get baby changed and swaddled. If baby needs to eat, Mom can nurse or I can bottle feed.
I start by getting baby to sleep and posed. I use baby-led posing so that I can capture your baby as they are naturally.
After I complete all the detail shots and poses of baby, Mom and family are usually ready to join in.
After the session, I wash/dry clean all the items that were used so that they are ready for the next session. We schedule one newborn session a day as each session is different and the time it takes can vary from baby to baby.

LOLA'S SIX MONTH SITTER SESSION
Often called the sitter session because babies typically sit up with some support at this age, your little one is now more interactive and curious. Baby’s unique personality also starts to shine, from genuine smiles and giggles to adorable pouts.

BABY'S FIRST BIRTHDAY
The family’s wardrobe was steamed and ready when they arrived at the studio. While they got ready, I captured some solo images of Lola. Baby girl looked so sweet in her cream tulle dress and adorable bonnet!
Mom joined her looking simply gorgeous in a sheer dotted dress borrowed from our Client Closet. After getting so many beautiful photos of mom and Lola, dad and big brother Dominic decided to join in on the fun! You can just see the love this family has for each other in each of the images.
And just like that, it was time for cake! Baby Lola was excited to test the special little treat made just for her. Big brother got in a little kiss, so adorable!
As a baby's first year collective member, her parents chose to do a baby's first year album that includes their favorite portraits. This beautiful personalized heirloom will serve as a keepsake that will be cherished for years to come.

Newborn Session In Newport Beach Studio With Baby Girl #2
I've had the pleasure of documenting this loving family over the years and was so honored to photograph the newborn session for their second baby girl, Brooklyn.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
Mom enjoyed some well-deserved pampering with our professional hair and makeup stylist while I took solo portraits of Brooklyn. She was so sweet and content. I captured so many adorable photos of baby girl!
We know how busy it can be with your little one, so we have everything you need for baby ready when you arrive. We get baby swaddled, cozy and fed before starting on their portraits. Mom gets to relax with some special “me time”, while we take care of baby.
SIBLING PORTRAITS
Dad and big sister Tessa arrived after giving mom plenty of time to relax and get ready.
The family wardrobe they chose from our Client Closet was steamed and ready for them when they arrived. Mom was simply beautiful in a flowing white dress. Big sister looked so sweet in a charming sheer white dress with lace detail. Baby girl’s swaddle and headbands were also picked from our wide selection.
Tessa was so excited to be a big sister and couldn’t wait to hold baby Brooklyn. You can see just how much she loves her baby sister in these images. So precious!
We will be capturing the girls as they grow over the year and will add to their growing baby album. We realize how important it is to flip through pages to relive your precious memories. That is why we have simplified the process to create an heirloom album that will be handed down for generations.

From bump to first birthday, you can decide how many milestones you would like to document: maternity, newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and one year. Most do 3-4 sessions depending on when baby is born. These images create a beautiful narrative of baby’s growth and capture subtle shifts in expression and personality.

At each stage, you will have updated portraits to remind you just how much your little one has grown. Siblings are always welcome and it is so heart warming to document the special bond between them. We will work together to choose favorite portraits to design art work to display in your home and to add to our gorgeous heirloom albums personalized for your family.

Our stress-free portrait experience is a favorite with busy moms. We take care of everything, so there is no need to coordinate appointments and shop for outfits for your session. We provide personalized styling for the entire family. Our Client Closet includes a wide variety of beautiful high-end dresses for mom, children’s clothing and shirts for dad.

Our calendar fills up quickly with families returning to us with their next pregnancies. We book a limited number of sessions each month, so it is important to get on calendar as soon as possible to guarantee your spot. Mom looked simply beautiful in a sheer white dress chosen from our Client Closet. After capturing lots of adorable images of baby boy, Mom and Dad joined in. Baby Adam was so sweet and content! Eight Week Old Baby Boy Newborn Session In Newport Beach Studio
Baby Michael was the cutest and I was so happy to photograph him at eight weeks old. At this age, your little one is more alert and developing a range of expressions, including those adorable smiles. He showed his unique personality a little more than the normal 2 week old newborns we document.
