Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I've always enjoyed the traditions of it all. Getting the tree around my birthday, opening a present on Christmas Eve and helping wrap cookies for family on Christmas morning. You can hear a song and it takes you back to those moments decorating the tree, baking cookies or wrapping gifts. This year was extra special since we are back home in Huntington Beach, at "Our Nest by the Sea," as I like to call it. I love decorating the house for each season and would be totally fine if the Christmas decorations lasted until the middle of January! Our theme this year was copper, golds with light blue and blush. I was inspired by a nativity print I found at Hobby Lobby, I loved the water color and pastel colors. Let's start the tour!
Each year I find inexpensive ornaments and decorations since I like to change the color and theme and rotate them out every year. I found a trick to not having to buy new decorations by just spray painting the decor to what color you'd like. Those gift box stocking holders were once red, blue and silver!
Those paper diamond ornaments I found at Ikea, they always have the most in-expensive decorations and are always so cute! The cardboard glitter village house was a find at Joann's this year. It covered up the 3 foot giant gap on our "unique" tree!
Loved this wrapping paper from Hallmark! I buy it every year when the rolls are buy one get one free. I always have extra and use them the following Christmas.
The gift wrapping bows were for the ladies in the family, I knew they would appreciate them! It was a new line Target carried, Sugar Paper Los Angeles. So much cute paper goods!
I told you we had to cover the giant gap in the tree. But the village lights up and is so pretty at night! These past few years I have become slightly obsessed with fur, which carried on to our stockings of course!
My birthday is a few weeks before Christmas and each year my moms gifts me the Willow Tree Angels. This year she surprised me with the gorgeous angel for the tree. I just love it so much!!
These little wooden ski's and copper bucket were in the $1 section at Target, I never pass by this section without looking...everything is a dollar!
I've mentioned before how you can instantly change the look of your room with pillow covers, I find mine at Ikea. Loved this copper Merry Christmas banner from Target!
Here was the print that inspired it all! The fresh garland on the mantle I got at Trader Joes, smells so good.
These items were gifts and looks beautiful against our wood table and dried eucalyptus.
The faux pine wreath is perfect because we use it each year, another inexpensive find at Ikea.
This lit up Noel marquee sign was on sale at Target and I had gift cards. It's classic and we can use it every year. It adds a warmth to the room while cooking in the kitchen.
My mom makes these beautiful handmade ornaments and gave it to me for my birthday. I love the chalkboard look!
I hope you find some inspiration and ideas to try at home. Merry Christmas!
