First Birthday Session for Elijah in Newport Beach Studio

Over the last year, I’ve had the honor of photographing couples become parents, families grow, and babies turn into toddlers…all right here in my studio in Newport Beach. One of those newborns was Elijah, and oh my goodness have I loved watching this sweet boy grow this year. The bond he has with his big brothers, the way he lights up and laughs with Mom and Dad, and his hair…we can’t forget that from his six month milestone session! It’s truly been such a joy and so much fun celebrating each of his milestones and first birthday here in the studio.

When we document your baby’s first year, we not only get to document their milestones, we also get to see their personalities a little more with each session. The way they smile and crinkle their nose, how they stick out their tongue when focusing on a toy, their little toes and how they hold their hands, and the way they look at you when you call their name. These are all the things you never want to forget.

If you have older children, we also get to document that bond. It’s one of the things I have loved most about getting to work with this sweet family. We have watched them all grow. They’ve celebrated Elijah getting his teeth and big brother losing his, and I think the big boys are both a foot taller! These boys are so sweet together, and I can only imagine the memories they are going to make over the coming years.

We ended Elijah’s first birthday session with a cake smash, and although he wasn’t so sure about it, it made for some sweet photos they will be able to share with him as he grows up!
